What times can we use the River Park?
The River Park is available for guest use from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. It is exclusive to guests of the River Road Treehouses and Sky Cabins. We ask that everyone respect quiet hours after 11:00 p.m. and refrain from swimming, fishing, or socializing at the water’s edge outside of posted hours.
Do you rent tubes or kayaks?
No. The River Road Treehouses do not provide any watercraft rentals, but there are numerous nearby outfitters that offer rentals and shuttle services.
Can I tube or kayak directly from the park?
Yes. You can launch directly from our private Guadalupe River Park. We are located between the 3rd and 4th crossings of the river. Some guests choose to float from the 1st or 2nd crossing or from the Horseshoe at Whitewater. Please note we do not offer shuttle service.
Can we use the fire pits at the park?
Yes, you're welcome to use any fire pits at the Guadalupe River Park. Please ensure all fires are completely extinguished after each use and closely monitor children and flammable materials near open flames.

Are the Treehouses right on the Guadalupe River?
The River Road Treehouses are located directly across the street from our private river park, which is reserved exclusively for Treehouse and Sky Cabin guests. The river park is accessible via a short path approximately 100 yards long. (See property map.)
Are the Sky Cabins right on the Guadalupe River?
Yes! All River Road Sky Cabins are built directly on the riverbank. (See property map.)
Do you rent tubes or kayaks?
No. The River Road Treehouses do not provide any watercraft rentals, but there are numerous nearby outfitters that offer rentals and shuttle services.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are allowed at the River Road Treehouses (limit 2 per unit). Pets are not allowed at the Sky Cabins.
How many cars can I have?
- Treehouses: 2 cars permitted per reservation
- Sky Cabins: 1 car permitted per reservation
What time is check-in and check-out?
- Check-in: 3:30 p.m.
- Check-out: 11:00 a.m.
Access instructions and electronic door codes will be sent via email the morning of your reservation.
What deposit is required at the time of booking?
- For bookings made more than 15 days in advance: 50% due at booking, 50% auto-drafted 7 days prior to arrival
- For bookings made less than 15 days in advance: 100% due at the time of booking
Are there quiet hours?
Yes. Quiet hours are from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Guests who violate these hours may be asked to leave without a refund.
Are day visitors permitted?
Yes, but only if the total number of people (including visitors) does not exceed the maximum occupancy of the rented unit.
Do you host weddings or special events?

Are the Treehouses wheelchair accessible?
While the walkways are crushed granite and mostly level, there are no ramps or specially modified restrooms. The Treehouses do not require stairs or ladders for entry, but loft areas are accessible only by staircases.
Which Treehouses are connected?
Treehouses #3 (Mourning Dove Haus) and #4 (Whippoorwill Haus) are ideal for larger groups and feature an adjoining deck. However, each Treehouse is a separate unit and requires a separate reservation.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations within 15 days of arrival (including same-day): no refund or credit
Rescheduling is not allowed within 15 days of arrival
Cancellations 16–30 days before arrival: 50% refund
$75 rescheduling fee applies during this window
Cancellations more than 30 days in advance: 95% refund

Guadalupe River Fishing
Can we fish at the River Park?
Yes. The Guadalupe River offers excellent fly fishing opportunities year-round.
When is the best time to fish?
Fishing is good year-round depending on what you're targeting. The Guadalupe River supports large populations of Guadalupe bass, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, Rio Grande cichlids, panfish, and various species of carp.
How is the trout fishing?
The Guadalupe River below the Canyon Lake dam is considered one of the top 100 trout streams in the U.S. Trout season typically runs from the first weekend of December through March.
Can I keep the fish I catch?
Yes, but you must have a valid Texas fishing license and follow all state fishing regulations. For more information, visit:
